HEALTHY START'S, MALE INITIATIVE PROGRAM (MIP)

                     MIP is designed to inform fathers and other male support persons how extremely influential they are to the outcome of a pregnancy.

                     The program teaches fathers how instrumental they are in providing support and encouragement  to their partner and children.

                      MIP collaborates with other local agencies and programs providing male oriented services, so participating fathers can be referred to various community based support services when necessary.

MIP OFFERS SUPPORT WITH: 
  Father and child activities
  Education and career assistance
  Parenting and infant skills training
  Pregnancy and childbirth education
  Father-to Father support forums
  Special cultural activities
  Case management and referrals
  Crisis intervention
