Cooperative Parenting the Groups' Initiative holds educational meetings every Thursday at the United Way Building, One Smithfield Street, downtown Pittsburgh.7:00 p.m-9:00 p.m. for members and the general public. Please call

Our educational meetings and support group are open to the public. There is no fee to attend and you do not have to be a member to attend the educational classes and support group. However for more specific help and one-on-one help such as Pro Se education or co-parenting class you need to join that specific organization.

Pro Se Help

Help in understanding Pro Se motions is available every Thursday and on most Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m-12:00 p.m. and every 2nd Saturday of each month. Topics such as custody,visitation, support, equitable distribution, divorce, discovery and appeals can be reviewed. We have to restrict this service to members but you can join when you come in.

NCFC Greater Pittsburgh Chapter Member Benefits

Members joining the NCFC Greater Pittsburgh Chapter receive:

A 140 page national manual of advice concerning custody, support and the divorce process. Local chapter resource list and select sections of the Pennsylvania Custody Statutes. Pittsburgh Chapter quarterly newsletter featuring news and information concerning fathers' and children's' rights regarding: custody, child support and relevant PA legislative issues.

Monthly educational meetings offering guest speakers or open forums with information regarding specific topics. Previous topics have included: parenting issues, psychological support service organizations, and various legal topics
concerning: divorce, custody, and support issues.

Pro se legal help in filling out motions for custody, support and modification, enforcement, etc...

* New help offered for the Generations Mediation Program: preparation of a Parenting Plan.
