HOST THE 12TH ANNUAL

FATHERS DAY WALK AND RALLY June 17, 2006.

The march starts at FREEDOM CORNER Center Avenue across the street from the old Civic Area now the Mellow Area at 11:30 and will proceeded on the sidewalk to the City County Building where the will be guest speakers will the rally will end at 1:00 p.m. With a special event to follow for the fathers and children and their families.

The Father's Day Walk and Rally will be the 12th consecutive annual Father's Day event. The purpose of the events are to celebrate the importance of fathers to raising responsible children and to educate the public that the Family Courts continue to practice 30 year old social stereotyping and prejudice against fathers. Such prejudice does not contribute to the best interests of the children.

There will be speeches and a gathering of support from the members of NCFC, Coalition for Fathering Families, and Cooperative Parenting for Divided Families.

Tentative speakers include James Carmine, Larry Davis and Louis Johnson of the Coalition for Fathering Families, James Overton of National Congress for Fathers and Children, and Kevin Sheahen of NCFC and a host of others.

Donations toward the permit fee and toward a Fatherhood Legislation Advancement Fund can be sent to:
