Explanation of the consequences of exercising "rights." Showings of fact that courts are neither right nor wrong moral or immoral the court is only to enforce laws so know your rights. Identification of ways to make your points in court. Discussion of what you have a right to expect from lawyers. Exportation of fatherhood and family issues with children. The following meetings are schedule, every Thursday in a room to be assigned later, on the lower level of the United Way Building, at One Smithfield Street, in downtown Pittsburgh from 7:00pm to 9:00pm there is free parking in the back of the building off of Fort Duquesne Boulevard. THE NATIONAL CONGRESS FOR FATHERS AND CHILDREN PITTSBURGH CHAPTER IN COLLABORATION WITH COOPERATIVE PARENTING FOR DIVIDED FAMILIES, COALITION FOR FATHERING FAMILIES & HEALTHY STARTS MALE INITIATIVE PROGRAMÂ HOST THE 12TH ANNUAL FATHERS DAY WALK AND RALLY June 17, 2006. The march starts at FREEDOM CORNER Center Avenue across the street from the old Civic Area now the Mellow Area at 11:30 and will proceeded on the sidewalk to the City County Building where the will be guest speakers will the rally will end at 1:00 p.m. With a special event to follow for the fathers and children and their families. The Father's Day Walk and Rally will be the 12th consecutive annual Father's Day event. The purpose of the events are to celebrate the importance of fathers to raising responsible children and to educate the public that the Family Courts continue to practice 30 year old social stereotyping and prejudice against fathers. Such prejudice does not contribute to the best interests of the children. There will be speeches and a gathering of support from the members of NCFC, Coalition for Fathering Families, and Cooperative Parenting for Divided Families. Tentative speakers include James Carmine, Larry Davis and Louis Johnson of the Coalition for Fathering Families, James Overton of National Congress for Fathers and Children, and Kevin Sheahen of NCFC and a host of others. Donations toward the permit fee and toward a Fatherhood Legislation Advancement Fund can be sent to: NCFC 37 Seneca Road Pittsburgh, PA 15241 After the Rally, fathers and their families will be going to their own family celebrations, a picnic, the Pittsburgh Zoo where fathers get in free with a paying child and Laser Storm where fathers play laser tag for free with a paying child. You are encouraged to make your own posters, bring your family, friend, anyone interested in children's rights to equal access to both parents.
